SUPERBIKE SCHOOL (EC&Pl) EASTERN CREEK RIDE DAYS PHILLIP ISLAND RIDE DAYS

Rules & Regulations

Riding Behaviour
Just as Eastern Creek Ride Days are not designed for racers to search for the fastest lap time, they are also not designed for riders to develop their stunting skills. Therefore, no wheelies, stoppies, burnouts, or any other such behaviour will be tolerated.

If a rider is deemed to be doing something that is unsafe for themselves and / or others anywhere within the confines of Eastern Creek Raceway, they will be given one opportunity to cease doing so. Failure to do so may mean they will be either ‘sat down’ for the remainder of their session, sent home, or even denied attendance at future Eastern Creek Ride Days, depending on the incident and the riders attitude when discussing the situation with our staff.

Overtaking
Overtaking may be done either on the inside or outside of another rider, providing a minimum distance of 6 – 8 feet (2 – 3 metres) is left between all riders at all times. If a rider is observed to be overtaking within this distance, or affects the rider being overtaken in anyway, they will be pulled into the pits and given one opportunity only. If close passing persists, the rider may be ‘sat down’ for the remainder of the session or sent home, depending upon the incident and the rider’s attitude when being spoken to in relation to this.

Lap timing
Lap timing is not allowed during an Eastern Creek Ride Day. The reason for this has more to do with insurances and event structure rather than it being a comment on whether or not lap timing is beneficial or detrimental to the safety of the day.

Should you be observed using lap timing equipment during an Eastern Creek Ride Day, at the discretion of the Ride Day Manager, you may be asked to; remove the device or; leave the premises and / or risk future attendance at Eastern Creek Ride Days.

Licensing
To participate in Eastern Creek Ride Days you must hold a valid & current licence for the motorcycle you will be riding. Both competition (MA) licences and road licences are acceptable. A road licence is required to be a minimum of a Provisional Licence i.e. Learner's Permits are NOT accepted.  If you are unsure whether or not you hold the correct licence to ride the track, contact our office for more information on 1300 793 423, or via email info@easterncreekridedays.com.au.
